Please Update Flash to Read This Blog

Aug 3, 2017 | News |

It’s finally happened, after years of hanging on, Adobe has announced in a blog that Flash player has reached it’s end of life. Or at least will do by the end of 2020. The plugin that pioneered web animation in the early 00s kinda became obsolete in the early 10s. Although by then a lot of massive sites, including Youtube, used it heavily. Over time new more open technologies have come along allowing us to create animations and play video within a browser using HTML5 and no plugins. In turn making applications more open to the rest of the internet. At Emblime we’ve been embracing the new HTML5 based technologies for years so rest assured our clients will not be affected by this move by Adobe. We won’t be missing the ‘please update your flash player’ message popping up on various websites that’s for sure.
